"Whose Child Is This?"

Saint or Satan?

Police Detective Michael Carpenter and his ex-girlfriend, Mary Winters have the difficult task of hiding
Joshua, a twelve-year-old boy of mysterious origins. Two rival religious groups desperately search for the boy as
they argue about his purpose. Is he a Saint or Satan?
Mary, a teacher in a Christian school, is an optimistic soul who still believes there is good in everyone. So
it is no coincidence when the boy's adopted parents are killed in an accident, that Joshua seeks refuge with her.
But soon she too is threatened and forced to contact Michael.
Detective Michael Carpenter is no stranger to the debate of good and evil. As a child an elderly uncle told
him that he was a representative on earth of the Archangel Michael. This uncle believes it is Michael's
responsibility to fight all evil. This influence led Michael to become a policeman.
As society becomes more complex, it is increasing difficult for Michael to tell the difference between the just
and unjust especially after a fellow officer is killed by a ten year old boy. The question of good and evil haunts him,
causing him to have anxiety nightmares. When he is called in to help Mary, he doesn't realize that he holds the
key in the biggest good/evil debate in history.
Joshua is strangely gentle, peaceful and wise. He also seems to possess some odd powers. The boy is
considered a prophet for a cult known as "The Church of the Second Coming" who communicates with his
followers exclusively on the Internet. The group's leader is Dr. Winston Nelson, a religious scientist and
groundbreaker in the process of cloning.
Another radical group, "The Keepers of Righteousness" is stalking Joshua. This group's leader is a former
partner of Dr. Nelson's, Dr. Philip Hoffman.
Joshua knows little of his own birth and parents so Michael researches his beginnings and discovers the
startling truth in the shocking conclusion.
